Pegmatites are highly crystallized veins in granite. Their overall chemical composition is essentially equivalent to the surrounding granite, but they are enriched for many valuable minerals, sometimes in gem quality. Geologica generates pegmatites fairly deep underground whereever there is granite, and pegmatites are found twice as frequently in felsic volcanic domains (e.g., Extreme Hills). The majority of a pegmatite vein consists of generalized pegmatite stone. The remaining mineral/ore distribution is as follows:

Ore/Mineral Percent
Spodumene 7%
Muscovite (mica) 7%
Kyanite 5%
Lepidolite 2.5%
Tantalite 2%
Cassiterite 1.5%
Wolframite 1%
Pollucite 0.1%
